An arguement between law enforcement and members of the Bambiha gang in Moga, Punjab has resulted in the arrest of three gangsters, including Shankar Rajput and Jashwa of Moga, and Navdeep Singh of Dharamkot. During the incident, one of the gangsters sustained injuries from a fall, and a police officer was also injured. These individuals are linked to Lucky Patial and Mandeep Dhaliwal, who are associated with the Bambiha Gang. The incident occurred on the link road in the village of Daudhar.
According to Moga Police, Inspector Daljit Singh, in charge of the CIA staff Mehna, had set up a roadblock on the route from Bandhani to Malliana. When three motorcyclists from Daudhar were signaled to stop at the checkpoint, they turned back and attempted to flee upon seeing the police. This raised suspicions, prompting the police to pursue them.
The motorcyclists abandoned their bike and fled into the fields. Despite being instructed to surrender, they refused and opened fire when the police attempted to apprehend them. The police initially fired warning shots into the air in self-defense. Following an exchange of gunfire, all three individuals were arrested.
The Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann had previously warned that those engaging in criminal activities in the state should be aware that they may not reach their intended destination.
Similar encounters occurred in Mohali and Patiala the previous day. In Mohali, the police surrounded gangsters Prince and Karanjeet, resulting in an exchange of gunfire and the arrest of both individuals after they were shot in the legs. In Patiala, there was an encounter with gangster Malkit Chitta, who was riding a motorcycle and was subsequently apprehended following a crossfire with the police.
Furthermore, a police encounter took place in Mohali, Punjab, on Landran Road, where shots were exchanged between two individuals and the CIA. Both suspects were apprehended after sustaining gunshot wounds. The arrested individuals were identified as Prince, a resident of Patiala, and Karanjit, a resident of Kurukshetra.
In a separate incident, a police encounter took place in Patiala, Punjab, resulting in the shooting and subsequent arrest of gangster Malkit Singh Chitta by the CIA staff of Patiala. Chitta was wanted in cases related to murder and attempted murder.
