Thousands of users in India on Saturday complained that they were not able to access reels or see new feeds on Instagram. As a result, #instagramdown started trending X and netizens lambasted the Meta-Owned social networking website. Many shared screenshots of the social media app under the Instagram Down hashtag and asked Meta why is this happening. Instagram Crash took place just hours before the India vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2024 match.
True Scoop News tried to verify Insta down claims and therefore visited Down Detector. Going by Down Detector, Instagram Down complaints skyrocketed from 11 am to 1 pm. However, after 1 PM, Instagram was restored. True Scoop News tried to check if Instagram was working or not at 2 pm (IST) and it found out that the photo-sharing social networking website was working fine.
