IPL 2021: Setback to RCB as Kohli, Maxwell depart for 33 and 39

In another setback to the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians to take off the 4th wicket. This time it is Virat Kohli and Glen Maxwell who have been eliminated from the game for 33 and 39 respectively. Notably, Kohli shared a 50-run stand with Glen Maxwell.

At the time of writing, RCB crossed the 100-run mark.

After Mumbai Indians set a target of 160 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team starts off the game warmly. RCB's batting was opened by captain Virat Kohli with Washington Sundar.

Notably the first over was thrown by Trent Boult, in which RCB managed for 10 runs. Then the team was attacked by Jasprit Bumrah's over and saw 5 runs only. In Boult's second over total 6 runs were made by the Kohli-Sundar duo with 1 4 0 10 0 and the boundary hit by Kohli himself. 

For the next over MI sent young pacer Marco Jansen, and the batsmen acquired 14 runs in his first over-thrown in the IPL 2021. 

In an attack, Krunal Pandya took the wicket of Washington Sundar. It was indeed a breakthrough for MI to get the pace set for RCB. Rajat Patidar joined Kohli for the other throws, however, he was departed by Trent Boult for an 8( 8) in the power play.
