Mumbai: 9 people allegedly having touch with the banned Islamic States have been arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad. The people had formed an organisation Ummat-E-Muhammadiya and out of 9, one is the son Rashid Malbari, a close aide of Dawood Ibrahim. 

According to Maharashtra ATS, they were planning a mass killing by mixing poison in food and drinks at some gathering and were reportedly in touch with someone from ISIS based out of India.

According to an officer from ATS, most of the arrested people are well qualified with 2 engineers, 1 student pursuing engineering, 1 pharmacist and one a student of class 11.

During the raid, several labelled bottles with different chemical names were also seized which are yet to be tested. Apart from this, 6 pen drives, 24 cell phones, 6 laptops, 6 wifi pods, 24 DVDs and CDs, 12 hard drives, 6 memory cards have also been seized.
