Israeli airstrikes demolish International media outlets in Gaza Strip

In a fresh move, the Israeli military launched an airstrike to silence the militant group Hamas based in Gaza city which demolished international media outlets and killed 10 members of an extended family.

Notably, the war between the two has reached the sixth day and it has only intensified arising death toll. Now, the violence has also arrived the West Bank as a US envoy prepared to hold talks with the officials to end the conflict.

Today’s airstrike came a few hours after military passed orders to evacuate the building which housed media houses including Al-Jazeera,  the Associated Press news agency and residential apartments. The airstrike was so ferocious that it destroyed the entire 12-story building in just minutes. However, there came no prompt explanation why the airstrike was launched.

"Clearly there is a decision not only to sow destruction and killing but also to silence those who broadcast it," Walid al-Omari, Al Jazeera head for Israel and the occupied territories told AFP.

According to Jawad Mehdi, the owner of the Jala Tower, an Israeli intelligence officer had warned him to ensure that the building is evacuated in just an hour.

It may be noted here that Israel claimed that "military intelligence" of Hamas, Islamist rulers of Gaza Strip were also present in the building.
