Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and his wife, actor Geeta Basra, on Saturday have been blessed with a baby boy. The news of the baby’s birth was shared by  Harbhajan on his social media handle where he wrote, “Blessed with a baby boy.”

The further updated about the health of both mother-son and wrote, “they are doing well.”

Bhaji paaji expressed his joy on Twitter by sharing a picture that read, “A new little hand for us to hold, his love is grand, precious as gold. A wonderful gift, so special and sweet.”

"Our hearts are full, our lives complete. We thank the almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy. Both Geeta and the baby are doing well. We are overwhelmed with joy and would like to extend our gratitude to all our well-wishers for their constant love and support,” the picture further read.

Notably, this is the couple's second child after their daughter Hinaya Heer Plaha, who was born in July 2016.

Recently, the family was seen making memorable moments as they celebrated Harbhajan’s 42nd birthday on July 4. Earlier this year, Geeta Basra shared the good news with her fans on Instagram by posting a family picture in which her daughter Hinaya could be seen holding a T-shirt which read, “Soon to be a big sister.”

Soon after Harbhajan shared the news, wishes poured in from his friends and family members.

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan replied with 'mubaraka bhai'.
