A massive fire broke out at the goods warehouse of the Maqsudan Police Station in Jalandhar District. Currently, the cause of fire is unknown at the moment. No casualties or injuries have been reported, but the scrap vehicles lying in the warehouse were destroyed. Videos of the incident show black smoke rising from the structure, which can be seen from a distance. Fire brigade teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control after about an hour.
Fire brigade officer Jaswant Singh said that the information was received in the fire department’s control room around 11 am. Two vehicles were then promptly sent to the spot. According to reports, the fire broke out in the goods warehouse located at the rear of the police station. The impounded vehicles and other junk items lying in the police station were reduced to ashes in the fire.
As per reports, the cause of the fire is not clear at the moment. At present, the fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit, as there was an electrical switch installed near the goods warehouse. However, an investigation is currently underway.
