On the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Prakash Purab, a Nagar Kirtan will be held in the city starting from Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha in Gobindgarh. In light of this, traffic will be diverted from several of the main routes from the city. Commuters can expect to run a little late to their destinations as a traffic jam is expected to be present tomorrow. Here are the details of what routes will be diverted and their timings:
The Nagar kirtan being taken out on the occasion of Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Gobind Singh will start from Mohalla Gobindgarh Guru Ghar in the morning and will be completed after reaching Gurudwara Shri Diwan Asthan Central Town in the evening. this Nagar Kirtan will start at around 10 in the morning and is likely to be completed by around 9 in the night. It will be taken out circling the city passing through various squares and markets of the city.

Keeping in view the huge influx of devotees in this Nagar Kirtan, the traffic has been diverted from these points/intersections on the said Nagar Kirtan route by the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar from 09.00 am to 10.00 pm. During this period, the police will ensure that the traffic operates smoothly.
