In a shocking incident, an employee of travel agent Om Visa near Jalandhar bus stand died by suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the AGI building. The deceased has been identified as Gaurav. As per the initial information, it is said that the deceased was mentally upset for the last few days. On Saturday morning, after the office opened in the AGI building, Gaurav jumped from the fourth floor. The bus stand outpost was informed about the incident.
Outpost in-charge Major Singh, who reached the spot, stated that the reason for the suicide has not been revealed. The police have taken the body into custody and started further action. The police have sent the body to the civil hospital for postmortem. The police will take further action based on the statements of the family members. It is not clear at the moment why Gaurav died by suicide as no suicide note has been recovered from the spot.
