The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 will be held on October 3, announced the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday.

Earlier on June 26, the administering body, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has already released the information brochure for the aspirants of engineering examination.

To dive into more details of the exam, aspirants can check it on the official website— jeeadv.ac.in. Through this link, the aspirants will be able to gather information on registration, application, eligibility, and exam pattern.

Notably, earlier the entrance cum competitive exam date was pushed further to July beginning, however, owing to the Covid-19 situation the government decided to defer it. Now, the exam will be taken on October 3, 2021.

As per the information, several changes have been made to the format of JEE Advanced 2021. Notably, these exams are held for admissions to various renowned undergraduate Engineering, Science and Architecture courses in the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). In order to appear for JEE Advanced, a candidate must be among the top 2.5 lakh successful JEE Main candidates.

On October 3, candidates who qualified for JEE Advanced 2020 but remained absent due to -19 or associated reasons will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced 2021 directly, without having to take the JEE Main 2021 exam.
