JEE Main 2021, NEET 2021: Here are important updates students must know

It is expected that the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the entrance exams like the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Mains) and the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), would hold a review meeting soon. This review meeting would focus on the medical and engineering entrance exams amid the global pandemic.

JEE (Mains)

Now, JEE Mains, which is entrance exams to the IITs, NITs, is conducted four times a year, to offer flexibility to students to improve their grades. The first test is conducted in February, which is followed by a test in March. The third and the fourth exams are conducted in April and May respectively.

The third and the fourth session of the entrance exam are still pending because of the second wave of Covid-19. The revised dates are yet to be announced by the NTA. It is expected that the dates would be announced in the upcoming week.

Those who appear in the top 2.5 lakh ranks of the JEE Mains are eligible for JEE Advance.

NEET

For now, NEET 2021 is scheduled on August 1, 2021, but the application process for the entrance examination has been delayed because of the Covid-19. It is expected that the NEET exam pattern would be changed. Previously, it was said the there would be more questions in the exams to offer choices to the students.

The entrance exams like – NEET and JEE are necessary as they facilitate admissions to top medical and engineering institutes. Keeping in view the importance of these entrance exams, policymakers are trying to find out a safe way to conduct the examinations.

 Earlier, it was announced by the Union Education Minister that the final date for NEET 2021 would be announced about reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the country. 

National Testing Agency would announce the JEE (Mains) exam dates. It is expected that the exam dates would be released 15 days before the date of the exam.
