Prepaid and postpaid plans offered by Reliance Jio will undergo major modifications effective July 3, 2024, as the company recently announced. In order to increase average revenue per user (ARPU) and boost revenue from 5G services, the telecom giant raised prices by about 12 percent. Although the increase in price was long expected, many users were taken aback by one of the main features of this revenue plan:
Jio will no longer provide unlimited 5G data with specific prepaid plans. Reliance Jio will only provide unlimited 5G data on prepaid plans that include 2GB or more of data per day as of July 3. This indicates that 5G internet data will not be available for plans with 0.5 GB or less of data per day. The Jio prepaid plans listed below are those that will provide 5G internet data.

Rs 349 Plan: This plan, which was previously priced at Rs 299, is now available for Rs 349 and offers benefits such as unlimited voice calls, SMS, and 2GB of data per day.
Rs 399 Plan: With unlimited voice calls and SMS benefits and 2.5GB of data per day, this plan, which was previously priced at Rs 349, is now available for Rs 399.
Rs 449 Plan: This plan, which was previously priced at Rs 399, is now available for Rs 449 and includes benefits such as unlimited voice calls, SMS, and 3GB of data per day.
Rs 629 Plan: With 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits, this plan, which was previously priced at Rs 533, is now available for Rs 629.

Rs 859 Plan: This plan, which used to cost Rs 719, now costs Rs 859 and includes benefits like unlimited voice calls, SMS, and 2GB of data per day.
Rs 1199 Plan: This plan, which was previously priced at Rs 999, is now available for Rs 1199 and offers benefits such as unlimited voice calls, SMS, and 3GB of data per day.

Jio announces new services
Together with this change Jio is also launching two new apps, JioSafe, a quantum-secure communication app, and JioTranslate, an AI-powered multilingual communication app. Jio customers will be able to use both services for free for a full year, which will enhance the value of the updated plans. .
