On October 2, 2020, Satyameva Jayate was supposed to be released. Last year, however, the film's release was postponed due to a theatre closure caused by the COVID 19 lockout. The film's production was put on hold, and John finished filming for the sequel in February. the film's producers commented on how theatres were shut down in states such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and others, and that with the ongoing vaccination campaign, things will take time to return to normal."The makers are firm about supporting the theatre business through their actioner, and hence, have not pursued a conversation with OTT platforms about its digital premiere despite getting lucrative offers," confirming that the film will not go digital.
The producers and John have yet to reveal the film's new release date. Milap Zaveri directed Satyameva Jayate 2, which was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani, Krishan Kumar, Madhu G. Bhojwani, and Monisha Advani. Aside from that, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, starring Salman Khan and Disha Patani, will have a hybrid release on May 13, 2021.
