Kangana Ranaut Farm Laws: Bollywood actress & BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut on Tuesday courted a fresh controversy when she stated that three repealed farm laws should be brought back. A video is going viral on social media in which Kangana Ranaut in an interview was seen giving suggestions that the repealed farm laws should be brought back and farmers should demand it by themselves.
In the video, Kangana was heard saying, "The repealed farm laws should be brought back. This could be controversial, but I feel the pro-farmers' laws should be enforced again. In fact, farmers should themselves demand that the laws be brought back. This would ensure there is no hindrance in the development of farmers." She further said that farmers in only a few states had protested and urged them to demand for the laws to be brought back.
It is pertinent to mention here that actress Kangana Ranaut was earlier warned by the BJP to toe the party's line on the farmers' protest and farm laws when she mentioned "bodies were seen hanging and rapes were taking place".
Lambasting Kangana Ranaut Farm Laws remarks, Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Raja Warring while talking to a newswire said, "I believe Kangana ji should undergo mental treatment. She is used to making such stories and trying to get popularity on TV. She thinks that she hogs the limelight with such statements..."
Congress also reacted to Kangana Ranaut's latest statement and said that the 3 black laws imposed on farmers should be repealed.Congress outlined that more than 750 farmers of the country were martyred, only then the Modi government woke up and these black laws were repealed. Now BJP MPs are planning to reintroduce these laws again. Congress is with the farmers and these black laws will never be repealed now. No matter how much effort Narendra Modi and his MPs put in.
