Kannada film star Puneet Rajkumar passed away after suffering cardiac arrest in Bengaluru on Friday. He was 46-year-old. As per the statement shared by the private hospital, Puneet was rushed to the Vikram hospital after having severe chest pain at 11:40 am and at that time he was non-responsive. Hospital’s statement read, “Mr. Puneeth Rajkumar aged 46 years was brought to the emergency department of Vikram Hospital with a history of chest pain at 11:40 am, he was non-responsive and was in Cardiac Asystole and Advanced cardiac resuscitation has been initiated.”
Not confirmed yet, as per some reports Power star Puneet suffered massive cardiac arrest while he was working out at the gym. The actor was known for his looks and use to workout often.
Puneet was fondly called Appu by his fans and it is hard for his loved ones to digest this heartbreaking news. When Appu was rushed to the hospital and was in a critical condition many of his fans gathered outside the hospital and prayed for his health and life. One fan wrote, “Get well soon #PuneethRajkumar.” Another one said, “Wish you a speedy recovery, sir.”
Many celebrities paid tribute to the late actor and expressed their grief.
Former cricket Virendra Shewag expressed pain and wrote, “Saddened to hear about the passing away of #PuneethRajkumar . Warm, and humble, his passing away is a great blow to Indian cinema. May his soul attain sadgati. Om Shanti.”
Chiranjeevi Konidela tweeted, “Shocking, devastating & heartbreaking! #PuneethRajkumar gone too soon. Rest in Peace! My deepest sympathies and tearful condolences to the family. A huge loss to the Kannada / Indian film fraternity as a whole. Strength to all to cope with this tragic loss!”
Vivek Oberoi wrote, “Shocked and deeply heartbroken to hear this terrible news! We will all miss you, dear Appu. You will live in our hearts forever! My condolences and prayers for the family to deal with this deep pain. #rip #PuneethRajkumar”
