Keeping Congress controversies aside, Punjab CM dances on Bhangra beats in Kapurthala

Today, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was seen dancing with the students of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. In a viral video, he is seen dancing on the traditional Bhangra beats on the song “Nachde Punjabi.”

In the video, Channi is wearing a white kurta pajama with a yellow turban and he is surrounded by bhangra dancers with broad smiles on their faces.

Today, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi named the art museum on name Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr BR Ambedkar.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday offered prayers at Sri Darbar Sahib and during an interaction with media persons after paying obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib where the Chief Minister offered prayers to seek Waheguru’s blessings to serve the people of the state regardless of caste, colour, creed and religion to create a harmonious society. He said, “Every religion and section of society in the state would be given due respect and the administration will be run according to religious ethics (Raj dharam anusaar chalega)”.

Punjab Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi took oath as the chief minister of Punjab becoming the first Dalit Sikh minister to take charge of the top post in the political history of the state. 

After becoming a chief minister he was surrounded by controversy for using private jets just “like Badals and Captain” after claiming himself to be the same as the common man. 

Chief Minister Channi, on Monday said his government is of 'aam aadmi' (the common man), honest, free from sand mafias and a representative of the poor, amongst other promises. The appointment of two other deputy CMs picks are from Jatt Sikh and Hindu communities, showing prudent choices ahead of the assembly elections in the state.
