Khalistani Flag & slogans put up in Patiala a day before PM’s Punjab visit

A Khalistani flag was put up in Patiala just a day before the PM's rally. Khalistani slogan was found written at one place. The flag was put up in an under construction building on Mini Secretariat Road. This building belongs to Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, who was the media advisor to former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Sikh for Justice chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun also made a video in regarding the matter. This comes just before Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi's 2-day visit in Punjab. 

After installing the flag on Mini Secretariat Road, Patiala, the slogan of Khalistan was also written on the bridge of the old bus stand. While removing the flag, the police also erased the slogan of Khalistan written on the bridge, but no case has been registered by the authorities yet.

PM Modi's Punjab Visit

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) still faces the ire of the angry farmers in Punjab, who have been denying BJP leaders entries into their villages for campaigning. During PM's Punjab visit tomorrow. Farmers demanded for allocation of area to carry out protests near PM Modi’s rally venue according to reports. During his visit, PM Modi will address public rallies on Thursday and Friday. PM Modi will address a rally tomorrow  (May 23) in Patiala during the second half of the day.
