Despite confessing in an interview, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria on Tuesday moved a petition in the Mansa trial court seeking discharge in the murder case claiming they were 'not involved' in the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala. Bishoi and Jaggu pointed out the fact that they were lodged in Jail when the Punjabi singer was shot dead.

Responding to the petition, Balkur Singh said that they became famous by killing his son. After Lawrence and Jaggu gained fame they hiked their ransom amount and now when the turn of punishment came, they backed out. Balkaur Singh stated that he will completely counter it in the court and present the entire truth before the court. Furthermore, Balkaur Singh said that they have crossed every limit of lying. Late singer Sidhu Moose Wala's father pointed out that their confessions and claims through videos are in the public domain. Now they are saying that we have nothing to do with it. For the unversed, Lawrence Bishnoi's legal team filed an application under Section 239 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in the court of district and sessions judge Preeti Sahni seeking discharge in the murder case. However, Bhagwanpuria’s counsel reportedly moved a 235-page application under Section 227 of the CrPC seeking discharge. The public prosecutor sought an adjournment to file a reply to the discharge applications. Following this, the court adjourned the matter for January 5 for the submission of a reply.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in his viral interview had admitted that Sidhu Moosewala was coming into his gang war. Lawrence had claimed that Sidhu Moosewala had a hand in the murder of his college friend Vicky Middukheda. And, therefore, to avenge his death, the Punjabi singer was killed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
