Legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh took his last breath on Friday night at PGIMER Chandigarh after struggling to recover from the contagious Covid-19 infection.
He died after five days of his wife’s (Nirmal Kaur) demise at the age of 91 due to Covid-19 complications.
Earlier on Friday, the health condition of Covid-hit former Indian sprinter Milkha Singh deteriorated with fever and de-saturation and he was rushed to the PGIMER for the medical assistance.
"His condition has deteriorated with oxygen levels slipping," said a doctor of the hospital.
