Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Pratap Singh Bajwa, may face a major crackdown by the Punjab Police regarding the 32 bombs threat. According to sources, police officials are consulting with the Advocate General’s office on what action should be taken against Bajwa. It has been confirmed that the Punjab Police is tightening its grip on Bajwa.

Sources reveal that during extended questioning, Pratap Singh Bajwa refused to disclose any information regarding the 32 bombs and denied knowledge of how the information about these unexploded bombs in Punjab reached him. It is also reported that Bajwa refused to share the source of this information, whether it came from the Punjab Police or the Central Forces.

A senior official, speaking on condition of anonymity, mentioned that despite Bajwa being aware of the situation, his statement, which spread fear in Punjab, is being seen as a deliberate attempt to create panic. This has led to the Punjab Police preparing for stringent action against him for the safety of Punjabis.

It is noteworthy that just a few days ago, Bajwa made a statement to a TV channel claiming that five bombs from Pakistan had entered Punjab, 18 of which had detonated, while 32 were unexploded, indicating a potential major incident.

When Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann instructed the Punjab Police to seek information from Pratap Singh Bajwa regarding the matter, Bajwa refused to provide any details. As a result, a case has been registered against him.
