The main witnesses in the murder case of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala, in Mansa district of Punjab did not come to testify in the court on Friday. This is the second time that both the friends sitting in Sidhu's car after the incident have abstained from testifying. The court had fixed the date for recording their statements yesterday i.e. Friday.
Gurvinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh were sitting in Sidhu's car at the time of the murder due to which they were termed the main witness in the case. Both of them have sought exemption in the court citing personal reasons. The incident took place in Jawharke village of Mansa and Gurvinder and Gurpreet were also shot in the assassination attempt.
Moose Wala Murder Case:
On the evening of 29 May 2022, 6 shooters shot and killed Moosewala in Jawaharke village of Mansa. Moosewala was then 28 years old. The notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility for this murder with Gangster Goldie Brar, currently sitting in Canada, executing the entire conspiracy. Lawrence's brother Anmol and nephew Sachin Thapan were also involved in it.
The police have named 35 accused in this case 4 of whom have died. Since the murder, Sidhu’s parents, Balkaur Singh Sidhu and Charan Kaur have been struggling to get justice for their son. They are constantly targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab.
Sidhu Moose Wala’s singing career:
Sidhu started his music journey not by singing but by writing songs. The first song that he wrote ‘License’ was voiced by Punjabi singer Ninja. This song was a hit, which brought Sidhu’s name in the limelight as a writer.
Sidhu's first song 'G Wagon' was released in 2017. However, he broke through the popularity barrier with his song 'So High'. He started doing live shows in India from 2018 and did many shows in Canada. In 2018, his song 'Famous' was released, the popularity of which gave him entry into the Top 40 UK Asian Chart.
