For some, he was probably the greatest boxer of all time. He had the speed, the skills, the attitude, the desire…. He was basically the “complete package”…. A boxing prodigy and a “machine” in the ring. Unfortunately for him, he was also controversy’s “favorite child”.

From being one of the youngest heavyweight champions in the history of the sport, aged 20, to landing in prison in 1992 after being convicted of rape, many would argue that he would have and certainly could have had an illustrious career had he managed to stay away from crime and controversies.

At age 54 you must be wondering- “He’s surely kidding right?”

Well, he isn’t!

Mike Tyson will be back in the ring once again to face four- division champion Roy Jones Jr. in an eight round exhibition match that is scheduled for the 12th of September this year at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Out of 58 career fights, Tyson won 50 fights. 44 of those were by KO (Knock Out). He lost 6 matches and was disqualified from 2.

On the other hand Jones had 75 career fights to his name, winning 66, and loosing 9. He also became the first former middleweight champion in 106 years to win a heavyweight title (2003).

The match will air on pay-per-view and on Triller.
