NBA player Miles Bridges arrested for domestic violence: Source

Miles Bridges, an NBA player has been detained in Los Angeles following an alleged domestic violence incident.

According to a source, NBA player Miles Bridges was detained on Wednesday after reportedly assaulting a lady in Los Angeles the day before. 

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Bridges, a forward for the Charlotte Hornets, and charged him with felony domestic assault, according to TMZ. 

Police were summoned after a physical altercation between the woman and the 24-year-old basketball player on Tuesday. 

Bridges reportedly ran away before the police arrived but handed himself in the following day. 

The extent of the woman's injuries is unknown, although TMZ reported that she needed medical assistance. 

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported that Bridges was charged with the crime and released on $130,000 bail.

Bridges, who also goes by RTB MB in the rap world, spent his first four seasons playing with the Hornets but is expected to be a major free-agent target this off-season. 

Bridges were chosen with the 12th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. During his four seasons at Michigan State, he averaged 13.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He had his best season to date in 2021–2022, averaging 20.2 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.
