Punjab’s damage has been in news ever since the excessive rains have started. Today, July 15 another incident has been reported where a 13-year-old boy was swept away in the Badi river in Patiala. He was taking a selfie at the Bridge on Rajpura Road. Meanwhile, his foot slipped and he was swept away in the strong current.

At the same time, at 5 a.m., a 30 foot Ghaggar bank broke in Chandpura, Sardulgarh, under Mansa. As a result, the neighboring lands have swiftly filled with water. According to the latest news, the situation is deteriorating.

People are attempting to regulate the issue by storing clay bags, but the situation is no longer under control. This crack has now grown to 80 feet in length. As a result, problems in Mansa and adjacent areas may worsen till dusk. People have also been ordered to leave the village and relocate to safer areas.

The Sangrur-Delhi National Highway-55, on the other hand, broke down after being stopped for two days due to floods. Sultanpur Lodhi MLA Rana Indra Pratap Singh and his colleagues breached the Dhussi dam near Bharoana village late at night. People in Sangrur's Salemgarh neighborhood claim that government assistance did not reach them.

There have also been numerous accusations that calls were made to various senior officers to evacuate a family stranded in the flood at night, but no one answered and some refused to assist. With DSP's assistance, the family was eventually spared. This is the same location where CM Bhagwant Mann had previously visited.
