Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the nation on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day from the ramparts of the history Red Fort in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor at the Red Fort for the 11th time. In his 103-minute speech, PM Modi said that the lovers of freedom have given us the privilege of breathing freedom today. This country is indebted to great men. Before reaching the Red Fort, PM Modi went to Rajghat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The theme of the 78th Independence Day is Developed India. Under this, a target has been set to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of independence. PM Modi on Youths in detail

PM Modi from the ramparts of Red Fort said, "We need to bring one lakh fresh talent into the field of politics, who do not have anybody in their family in politics ever. These youth will change the definition of politics in the times to come. They will help us overcome dynastic politics in the country."

On the recently concluded Olympics, PM Modi highlighted, "Today, we also have with us the youth who are behind the Indian flag flying high in Olympics...On behalf of 140 crore countrymen, I congratulate all our athletes and players...In the next few days, a huge contingent of India will leave for Paris to participate in the Paralympics...India organising the G20 Summit on a large scale has proven that India has the capability to organise large-scale events. It is the dream of India to host 2036 Olympics, we are making preparations for that."

PM Modi also talked about the opportunity for youths in space sector. He said, "Space sector has innumerable opportunities and we need to work on further reforms in the sector. Start-ups are coming up in the sector. This is a big opportunity for the youth."

Furthermore, PM Modi said, "We can encourage talent to develop games online - Our youth, our IT professionals, should lead India in becoming the game capital - not as consumers, but creators."
