To boost religious tourism in Dwarka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday tried his hands in Scuba diving to offer prayers to the submerged city of Dwarka. PM Modi on Sunday took to his X handle and shared a series of photos of himself doing scuba diving. PM Modi stated that he had divine experience when he performed scuba diving to witness the divine submerged city of Dwarka established by none other than Lord Krishna.
Sharing a series of pics, PM Modi wrote, "To pray in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all." PM Modi Dwarka Scuba diving pics went viral in no time getting multiple reactions from people on social media. A user wrote, "Sir, These photos of yours will increase the tourist there and inspire people to take this divine experience,which you took. Your every talk and act is towards nation only." Another user wrote, "Connecting with the ancient traditions and the divine essence of Bhagwan Shri Krishna can indeed bring a sense of peace and blessing to the entire nation !"
For the unversed, Dwarka is known for its connection with Lord Krishna. Dwarka was once a thriving city that is now believed to be submerged under the sea centuries ago. Scuba diving is conducted off the coast of Dwarka near Beyt Dwarka island, where people can see the underwater remains of ancient Dwarka that were excavated by archaeologists.
Before this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'Sudarshan Setu', the country's longest cable-stayed bridge of 2.32 km, on the Arabian Sea connecting Beyt Dwarka island to mainland Okha in Gujarat's Devbhumi Dwarka district. The bridge boasts a unique design, featuring a footpath adorned with verses from Srimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Lord Krishna on both sides.
