Momin Saqib's visa request to travel to India for CWC 2023 rejected? Pakistani YouTuber issues statement

Pakistani social media influencer and YouTuber Momin Saqib on Thursday broke his silence after reports surfaced that his Visa request to travel to India to attend the Cricket World Cup 2023 was rejected by the Modi government. While the Pakistan Cricket Team arrived on Wednesday night in Hyderabad to participate in the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023, reports stated that the Government of India has denied visa requests of multiple Pakistani fans. It was reported that India rejected visa requests of four individuals- Momin Saqib, YouTuber Ducky Bhai, podcaster Nadir Ali, and UAE-based Indian TikToker 'Love Khaani. Notably, Momin is quite a known person in the meme world and is also a Pakistani cricket fan. For those who don't know, it was his video "Waqt badal die, jazbat badal die', that went viral in the last Cricket World Cup in England.

Momin took to his X handle denied the reports and wrote, "There's news circulating that my Indian visa got rejected. Just to clear the air, I haven't even applied yet! I'd also like to take this opportunity to emphasise on the importance of fact-checking & verifying news from authentic sources before spreading misinformation."

Not only Momin, Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai also wrote a similar kind of statement. He wrote, "There are some rumors circulating that I applied for an Indian visa for ICC World Cup 2023 and it got rejected. Please know this is completely FAKE news. I never applied for any visa related to this event. Always check the facts before believing and spreading any news."

Pakistan Cricket Team comes to India after 7 years

Pakistan Cricket team, led by skipper Babar Azam, on 27 September finally arrived in Hyderabad ahead of the showpiece event on Wednesday. The team arrived a day after visas were issued to the team for the ICC World Cup 2023 in India. This is the first time in seven years that Pakistan's men's cricket team is visiting India, which is hosting the ICC World Cup 2023 this time. The nail-biting tournament begins on 5 October and concludes on 19 November.Babar Azam and the other squad members arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad following a long nine-hour layover in Dubai. They departed from Lahore early morning on Wednesday to touch down in Hyderabad later in the night.
