Constable rank CISF officer Kulwinder Kaur on Thursday was suspended after she slapped Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport. Apart from suspension, an FIR was also filed against CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur. A newswire quoted a source in the known development saying, "CISF has suspended the woman constable and given a complaint against her at the local police station for FIR, in connection with slapping BJP leader and actor Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport." Amid the Kangana Ranaut slapgate controversy, CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur's video has surfaced on social media.
In the viral Chandigarh Airport video, Kulwinder Kaur can be seen enraged after slapping Kangana Ranaut. Kaur can be heard saying, "She gave a statement that women sit for protest just to get Rs 100. Will she sit on protest for Rs 100? My mother was sitting on protest." Kulwinder was referring to farmers' protests that took place in Punjab and Haryana against the Modi Government.
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Thursday was assaulted at Chandigarh Airport by a constable rank CISF officer. Mandi MP-Elect Kangana Ranaut was going to Delhi to meet the BJP's top leadership after winning the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. However, when Kangana Ranaut went to board the flight to Delhi from Chandigarh Airport, she was allegedly slapped Kulwinder Kaur.
Thereafter, Kangana shared a video of herself in which she said, "I am perfectly fine and safe. The incident happened during a security check at Chandigarh Airport. As soon as I entered the second cabin of the security check, a woman CISF officer was present. She waited for me to cross her and then suddenly she slapped me on my face. She also started abusing me. When I asked why she did it, she answered that she supports farmers' protests. I am safe but concerned about how we handle the rise of terrorism and extremism in Punjab."
