The music industry is in grief as a result of his passing. Simultaneously, political, social, and religious groups have expressed their condolences at his loss.

Focus was on religious music

Dharminder Kathak, the music director, had enough of the choppy music. He'd switched to Religious music now. After the tough situation in 2020 owing to Corona, he was working on a new strategy this year. Preparations were underway at the time to record religious songs with his 1008 new vocalists as part of the ‘Tera-Tera' initiative. He was also working on another religious record at the time. The song was to be written with the help of 13 male and female vocalists. This would also include Master Salim, Nachhattar Gill, Jaspinder Narula, and Rupinder Handa.

Supports emerging singers
Dharminder Kathak was recognised for providing up-and-coming vocalists an opportunity to shine.  By training them in classical music, he used to take them to reality shows and backed them till they stayed in the competition. His goal was to make musicians who aren't only fascinated with the glamour of the music industry, but who genuinely desire to pursue a career deep into music.
