Trouble started to mount on Bollywood ace actor Arjun Rampal as the actor has come under the radar of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). In a pursuit to bust the drug cartel of Bollywood, the NCB on Monday raided Arjun Rampal's residence and office around 7 am at three places in Mumbai, Andheri, Khar, and Bandra in the drugs cartel case of Bollywood. According to NCB sources, the driver of Arjun Rampal has been taken into custody. Actually, NCB is already investigating the case of the Bollywood drug racket. Arjun Rampal’s name has also jumped in this case.
Yesterday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided the home of well-known film producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala and seized drugs worth around Rs 3.59 lakh, an official said on Sunday. The NCB has also arrested Nadiadwala's wife Shabana Saeed, besides three other drug peddlers in the operation conducted at different places in the city and in Thane during the day.
Arjun Rampal's name popped out when the NCB quizzed Dharma Production's former employee Kshitij Raj Prasad. The agency also arrested Rampal's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades' brother Agisialos. Both Agisialos and Prasad were in touch with a Nigerian national arrested for the supply of cocaine in Mumbai.
