The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is expected to ask for an extension in the custody of Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son, today.

This comes after the NCB detained a foreign person from Bandra late Wednesday night, according to a leading daily. He was found with a commercial quantity of Mephedrone (MD), according to reports.

Aryan and his friend, Arbaaz Merchant, were said to have been located in the same location as the individual in question. As the NCB's custody expires today, the star-kid might be expected to be released. However, in light of these new results, it has been claimed that the central agency may simply request that Aryan and the others detained be held in jail longer.

Meanwhile, Sameer Wankhede, the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) Zonal Director, has been fighting off rumours regarding the central agency's 'credibility' in the middle of the continuing drug case.

In response to claims that the entire cruise drug bust was a fake, ""We are a very skilled and professional agency," he added, referring to rumours that "no narcotics" were found on the star youngster. Regardless of the individual or his status, the NDPS act is of prime significance to us.”

NCB claimed that the inquiry had reached a critical point and that all of the co-accused needed to be confronted. It further alleged that additional suspects in the drug racket were refusing to cooperate, claiming that similar leads had led to larger recoveries. A suspect was found with 2.5 grammes of ecstacy and 54.3 grammes of MD, according to the NCB's remand application. On the information of one of the arrested defendants, 2 gms charas were also seized. The remand copy said, "Many activities are underway." The information obtained so far concerning Aryan Khan and the co-accused "clearly demonstrates connection between suppliers and peddlers on a regular basis," according to the agency.
