The student wing of Congress, National Students Union of India (NSUI) has filed a missing person report against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP ministers. The complaint was filed with Delhi Police accusing Modi and his top brass of running away during the Covid19 crisis in the country.

Earlier, a similar report was filed with Delhi Police by NSUI national general secretary Nagesh Kariyappa against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It was alleged in the complaint that Minister Amit Shah has disappeared as the covid crisis in the country are deteriorated and citizens are suffering in the pandemic.

The plaint against Prime Minister Modi and other Union ministers is also filed by Nagesh Kariyappa. The ministers accused in the complaint along with PM are Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Smriti Irani, S. Jaishankar, Ravi Shankar Prashad, Harsh Vardhan and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

In the complaint, Kariyappa alleged that all these BJP leaders were last seen during West Bengal Assembly Elections.

Kariyappa said that Prime Minister and his other ministers should be accountable to people about the current situation of the country. However, these ministers have turned a blind eye to people’s suffering. Questioning BJP about its achievement in the last seven years, Kariyappa said, “BJP has only been able to sustain by crafting ‘jumlas’ and making fake promises.”

“People are even struggling to get a place to cremate the dead. Where are the so-called leaders who had assured to make India a global leader, but have instead made people suffer like this?” said Nagesh Kariyappa.

"When people are in dire need, Prime Minister and his Cabinet colleagues are missing in action. They should have been on the forefront when many people have died due to covid, largely because of lack of medical equipment,” said NSUI chief Neeraj Kundan.
