‘Pakistan Zindabad’, slogan raised in Delhi, investigation underway

Police had received a complaint around 1 am that the 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogan was chanted by a few people near Khan Market metro station.

Delhi police picked two men and three women in the early hours of Sunday for allegedly raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans near Delhi Khan market. The Delhi police received a complaint that “Pakistan zindabad’ slogan was chanted by a few people near Khan market metro station. The police are questioning two men, three women and their families relating to the incident. 

The incident occurred around midnight 1 am on Sunday. 

An enquiry officer from the Tughlaq Road police station reached the spot and found 2 men, 3 women, and a teenager on Yulu bikes. During interrogation, the held people claimed they had come for sightseeing around the India gate and had rented Yulu bikes.

They said that they were racing on the yulu bikes and were playing by addressing each other by the names of the countries they belong to. So, during the race, they called one person who belongs to Pakistan and eventually raised 'Pakistan Zindabad'.

All of them are being currently questioned in connection with the incident.
