Pathankot Police Crack Down on Interstate Sex Racket; Masterminds Apprehended

Pathankot: In a meticulously coordinated operation, the Pathankot Police have successfully busted an interstate sex racket operating in the district.

This high-stakes operation led to the apprehension of several key individuals orchestrating this nefarious trade.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh, disclosed that the breakthrough came from a vigilant informer who exposed the Anmol Hotel near Defense Road village Kuther as a front for illegal activities.

Subhas Chohan and his associate Vipan, residents of Dalhoji, Himachal Pradesh, were identified as the operators of this illicit establishment, luring vulnerable women under false pretenses for financial gain.

In response, two specialized police teams were swiftly deployed to take resolute action. Subhas Chohan, Vipan Wasian, Manmohan Singh alias Mohan, and Yog Raj were apprehended.

Additionally, a woman identified as Anjali Kumari, alias Pooja, was successfully rescued from the clutches of exploitation.

Under the provisions of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956, a comprehensive case has been registered against the accused at Shahpurkandi police station.

Simultaneously, in a parallel operation, another sex racket was brought to light at Hotel Vicky Raju in village Haryal. The hotel, leased by Vipan Kumar, emerged as another hub for this criminal enterprise.

The police acted decisively, apprehending those involved and liberating victims from their captors.

The arrested accused will be produced in the local court, and their remand will be sought to conduct further, in-depth investigations.

SSP Khakh issues a stern warning, affirming that such malevolent activities will not be tolerated within the Pathankot district. Offenders will face the full force of the law.
