PLIDB Chairman Pawan Dewan hails Punjab budget

He said in the year 2021-22, the proposal of Rs 10 Crore given for the new startups will further accelerate the development of industries

Punjab Large Industrial Development Board (PLIDB) Chairman, Pawan Dewan welcomed the Punjab budget for the year 2021-22 presented by Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh. He said this budget will completely support the industries.

In a statement issued here, Dewan said that the Industry and Trade Policy-2017 formulated by the Punjab Government has opened new avenues for the growth of trade and as a result, the state has received 1726 proposals under which the proposed investment of about Rs.71262 crore was done in four years and about 2.70 lakh people got employment opportunities.

He said in the year 2021-22, the proposal of Rs 10 Crore given for the new startups will further accelerate the development of industries.

Meanwhile, setting up of new Sewage Treatment Plants at a cost of Rs.29 crore and renovation of 5 Industrial Focal Points in Punjab under Trade Infrastructure for Exports Scheme is an important initiative.
