The actions of the rulers do not seem to match the expectations from the ruled. While a common Indian is expected to follow the Covid social distancing and other guidelines, what about the political rallies the leaders are holding for the upcoming elections?

We are losing this war

It is no secret that India is losing the war against the pandemic Corona. State after state is retreating. Examinations of students are being cancelled or postponed, lockdown is being brought out in phases, and the hue and cry for the vaccines all make it difficult to follow a narrative that all is well.

Safety rules for whom?

In the midst of such a scenario, when an average person is exhorted to follow the rules for the prevention of the pandemic, then why are the rules for the elite different?

Surely, a biological entity like Covid 19 virus won’t be able to distinguish between and thus discriminate between social stratification?

Political interest above all

Till now in West Bengal, the three leaders - Modi, Shah, and Mamata – have held up to 80 rallies, and for the coming eight days 33 rallies have been planned.
