Poonam Pandey's WhatsApp chats surface; controversial model vows not to shoot in Maldives again

Controversial model & Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey on late Sunday night vowed that she will never shoot in the Maldives again. Poonam Pandey joined the chorus of Bollywood and the sports fraternity of India voicing their opinion on the latest India-Maldives tensions. Three Maldives Ministers recently had used derogatory terms against Prime Minister Modi and passed racist slurs against Indians. Following that #BoycottMaldives started to trend on social media with Indians canceling their tour to the Maldives and opting for Lakshadweep Islands which PM Modi recently visited. In the meantime, Poonam Pandey WhatsApp Chats surfaced on social media and it indeed impressed Indian fans. 

 

Sharing her WhatsApp chat also with her photo on her social media sites, Poonam Pandey wrote, "I love shooting in Maldives but I will never shoot in Maldives again. When I was scheduled to shoot my next shoot in Maldives, I told my team that I will not Fly if this shoot gets stuck in Maldives. Fortunately, they agreed and now hoping to shoot in Lakshadweep."

 

In Poonam Pandey WhatsApp chats, a person named Abdul says, "Hi Poonam Ji I Got to Know from Neil Sir that u want to Cancel the Shoot Schedule." In response, Poonam sends a voice note. Abdul thereafter replies, "Mam i have book Tickets for entire Crew n even Hotels are Locked.. Last moment that won't be Possible."

 

For the unversed, #BoycottMaldives trend on late Sunday night intensified after India's online travel booking & tour company, EaseMyTrip suspended all its flight operations to the island nation in solidarity with India. Not only this, EaseMyTrip also started a new hashtag #ChaloLakshadweep for Indians to promote tourism in India's Union Territory. India-Maldives standoff came to the fore when ministers of the Island nation used derogatory remarks and passed racist slurs against Indians and Narendra Modi after the Prime Minister visited Lakshadweep Island and urged people around the world to visit the beach Island.
