On Tuesday, The Gujrat Government issued a circular asking district authorities to ensure a ban on the online multiplayer game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, popularly know as PUBG. The notification comes just days after a student body in Jammu and Kashmir had sought a ban on PUBG Mobile in the state blaming it for the poor examination on results.
The circular directed District Primary Education Officers to take necessary steps to enforce a ban on the game in primary schools. It said that the ban was necessary as children were getting addicted to the game and it was adversely affecting their studies.
It is known as to which version is being referred to. However it is likely that the government is banning PUBG Mobile and not the console or PC version of PUBG.
