Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary vocalist, passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 92. Lata Mangeshkar died of multiple organ failure, according to Dr. Pratit Samdani, who was treating the singer at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital.

"We report the sad death of Lata Mangeshkar at 8:12 a.m. with great sadness. She died of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days in the hospital following Covid-19 "Dr. Samdani provided information.

After being diagnosed with pneumonia and coronavirus in January, the Bharat Ratna awardee was admitted to the hospital.

On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi introduced Channi as the party's CM face at a virtual gathering in Ludhiana. 


And during the rally in Ludhiana, Punjab CM Channi pays tribute to Lata Mangeshkar by reciting “Aye mere watan ke logon, jo shaheed huey hain unki yaad karo qurbani”. He remembered her in the speech as he became the new face of Punjab Congress for Punjab Assembly Elections 2022
 
Channi, 47, was born in Makrona Kalan village, near Chamkaur Sahib, and then moved to Kharar with his family, where he served as a municipal councilor for three terms before becoming President for two more.

He is currently the Assembly Constituency of Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur. He was the leader of the opposition in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha from 2015 to 2016.
