The tussle between Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and his baiters have reached an extreme level after MLA Pargat Singh received a threat call on May 17.

With this, tiff within the party has spilled on to other matters which include threat call by CM’s political secretary Captain Sandeep Sandhu to Jalandhar Cantt MLA Pargat Singh, a notice against Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in an alleged two and a half-year-old woman IAS officer harassment case along with Sacrilege case and Kotakapura firing case.

Coming out in an open rebellion against CM, MP Partap Singh Bajwa asks the state representative to issue a clarification over the threat call made to MLA Pargat Singh.

While talking to the media persons after being part of the secret meeting at Channi’s residence, MP Bajwa said CM should himself come forward and clear the air among the leaders. If the threat call has actually been made by his political secretary a stern action must be taken against him. However, if the call was dubious, it is the need of  hour to identify the person who is adding salt to the party’s woes.

Even after the 24 hours of the matter, there has been no clarification issued either by the Chief Minister's office or CM himself. Though, PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar on May 17 has trashed the rumors of vigilance probe against the party leaders.

He further asserted that all the leaders are part of a democratic government and they have the freedom to exercise their fundamental rights. Turning the government autocratic would not sort the issues rather would complex them, he added saying the aim of the party should be to punish the guilty in the crime that happened during SAD’s regime in 2015 along with other multi-crore scams.

When Bajwa was asked about the ministers who were part of the secret meeting, he said there were 5 ministers along with 7 MLAs who have raised their voices against Punjab CM. It may be noted here that Bajwas has refrained himself to disclose the names of ministers.
Going by the media reports, it has come to light that Charanjit Channi, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Pargat Singh, Partap Bajwa have already joined their hands with Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Moreover, Charanjit Channi had plans of holding a press conference on May 18 which however has been postponed after the intervention of High Command.
