Punjab Government asks 5 former ministers to vacate bungalows for new ministers within 15 days

The Punjab government, led by the Aam Aadmi Party, has issued eviction notices to five former ministers from the previous cabinet, asking them to vacate their government bungalows at the earliest. The decision comes as part of the process of allocating these accommodations to newly appointed ministers in the cabinet.

An official from the Punjab Civil Secretariat’s administrative department has sent notices to former ministers Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Chetan Singh Jouramajra, Balkar Singh, Brahm Shankar Jimpa, and Anmol Gagan Maan. The notice states that ministers must vacate the government-provided residences within 15 days of being removed from office. This move aims to ensure that the newly appointed ministers have suitable housing.

New Ministers Inducted into Punjab Government Cabinet

Five new ministers have been inducted into the Punjab cabinet: Tarunpreet Singh, Barinder Goyal, Hardeep Mundia, Dr. Ravjot Singh, and Mohinder Bhagat. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met with the new ministers on Tuesday to discuss departmental functioning and responsibilities.
