Bhagwant Singh Mann led government in Punjab has introduced the Road Safety Force. The Chief Minister has said that the employees of the Road Safety Force are well-trained and are saving precious lives by taking the injured to the hospital.
Punjab is the only state in the country where Road Safety Force has been formed to reduce road accidents and save lives that are lost due to road accidents. The employees of Road Safety Force are well-trained.
A vehicle of Road Safety Force is present within every 30 km radius of the state. After the formation of Road Safety Force, there has been a 25 percent reduction in road accidents in the state. Road Safety Force not only works to take the injured to the hospital in case of an accident but also investigates the causes of the accident.
Road Safety Force has 144 ultra-modern vehicles and more than 5000 employees who serve the people by taking care of their safety.
They investigate the reason of the accident, they check it there were any black spots that caused the road accident, or the roads were damaged. They check if the vehicle was over speeding or the accident happened because of a technical problem.
They also investigate whether the accident happened during the day or at night. If the accident happened at night, then they check if it happened due to the lights or because there were no blinkers on the side of the road. So that in case of any technical fault, it can be quickly rectified and it can be ensured that accidents do not happen there in future.
