Punjab govt launches doorstep delivery for 400+ services: Get the COMPLETE information

In the latest and major development, the government of Punjab has announced a special “Doorstep delivery” facility for its residents and citizens. Under this initiative, the government will offer around 406 types of government services at their doorstep, and it will cost just Rs 50, which has been reduced now, as the earlier price was Rs 120. 

The government has announced that it has reduced the price of this service, especially for the economically weaker sections. 

This service could be availed by the general public by calling a toll-free helpline number (1076). Notably, the delivery can be pre-scheduled by the beneficiary. According to the official data, in Jalandhar, as many as 35 to 40 people. 

Service offered under this initiative - 

The facilities that are delivered to the citizens include the delivery of important and essential certificates such as birth and caste certificates. 

The list of other facilities is as follows - 

Birth/Unavailability Certificate,
 Addition of Name to Birth Certificate, 
Copy of Death Certificate, 
Amendment of Entries in Birth Certificate, 
Issuance of Death Unavailability Certificate, 
Multiple Copies of the Birth Certificate, 
Late Registration of Birth Certificate,
Late Registration of Death Certificate,
Amendment of Health-Related Death Certificate, 
Income certificate,
Verification of affidavit, 
Verification of land records, 
Certified copies (duplicates) of registered and unregistered documents, 
Preparation of ID, 
Counter sign on documents, 
Certificate of a backward area, 
Stipend for children of beneficiaries,
Registration and renewal of construction workers, 
Residence certificate, and
Scheduled caste certificate, BC Certificate, General Caste Certificate.

In addition to the above mentioned certificates, the government is also delivering certificates including, OBSo Certificate, Income and Assets Certificate (EWS), Shagun Yojana (case for approval), Senior Citizen Pension, Widow/Indigent Citizen Pension, Disabled Citizen Pension, Disability Certificate for UDID Services include application for card, dependent children's pension (social security), electricity bill payment (power), marriage registration (mandatory), anand marriage registration, and rural area certificate (rural) etc.

Steps to apply for this doorstep service - 

The citizens and people can call the helpline number 1076. Then, an appointment is made based on the needs of the beneficiary. Following this, on the scheduled date, an officer or a service provider reaches the door and delivers the document after collecting all the required information.
