Punjab Govt transfers IAS, IFS and PCS officers in major rejig; Know who went where

As per the notification, 2005 batch IAS officer Basant Garg has now been given the additional charge of Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, and Nodal Officer for the Anti-Drug Campaign.

In a major administration reshuffle, the Punjab Government on Monday night issued a notification of transfers of IAS, IFS, and PCS officers in the state. The notification was issued by the Department of Personnel (IAS Branch). As per the notification, 2005 batch IAS officer Basant Garg has now been given the additional charge of Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, and Nodal Officer for the Anti-Drug Campaign. Basant Garg IAS will now replace Rahul Tiwari, IAS, who has been relieved of the additional charge.

2009 batch IAS Officer Sonali Giri will continue in her role at PUNSUP and also serve as Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation and Secretary, Revenue & Rehabilitation. 

Furthermore, 2010 batch IAS officer Kumar Amit will now also serve as Managing Director, MARKFED, replacing IAS officer Girish Dayalan. 

2013-batch IAS officer Amit Talwar has now been assigned additional responsibilities as Special Secretary, Good Governance & IT, and Director, Good Governance & IT. He also becomes the Chief Executive Officer of Punjab State e-Governance Society, replacing Girish Dayalan, IAS, from these additional charges.
