Two youths were killed in road accident on the Mall road in Bathinda on Friday. Four people were travelling in a Honda City at quite a high speed when it collided with a Unipole. Two of them died while the other two were injured and have been admitted to the hospital. The deceased have been identified as Amolveer Singh Dhillon and Rajat Jassal. All four passengers were students at the Adesh University in Bathinda. Amolveer was the nephew of Punjab ADGP Law and Order Gurinder Dhillon.
The speeding car collided with a unipole after hitting the divider on Mall Road in Bathinda late on Friday night. Two youths died and two were injured in the accident. The deceased include Amolveer and Rajan Jassal, while the other two identified as Sanket and Ridham were seriously injured. Both are undergoing treatment in a private hospital. All four youths studied in Adesh University. According to reports, Amolveer Singh was going in his Honda City car on Mall Road late on Friday night with his friends Rajan Jassal, Sanket, Ridham. The vehicle lost its balance due to high speed. Amolveer lost control and first collided with the divider and then hit the unipole.
The collision was so strong that the driver's side of the vehicle was completely destroyed and Amolveer, who was sitting on the driver's seat, and Rajan Jassal, who was sitting next to him, died on the spot. Sanket and Ridham, who were sitting in the back seat of the car, were seriously injured in this accident.
After receiving information about the incident, police and the local welfare society reached the spot and got the injured admitted to a private hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The bodies of both the deceased youths have been sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
