After a four-year gap, the Punjab Civil Services (PCS) examination, under the Punjab Government has finally been announced with 332 vacancies across various departments. The Punjab Public Services Commission (PPSC) has initiated the online application process for the Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (PSCSCCE)-2025. Eligibility criteria 

Education: candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. 

Age limit: The candidate must be at least 21 years old but not older than 37 on the 1st of January 2025.

Selection process and Exam pattern 

The selection will be concluded in three phases. 

  1. Prelims examination:

- two objective-type papers, 200 marks each 

Paper 1: General Studies (100 questions, 2 marks each) 

Paper 2: Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) (80 questions, 2.5 marks each).

  1. Mains Examination 

- Comprehensive written to evaluate subject knowledge. 

  1. Interview 

- final valuation for shortlisted candidates. 

Application fees

Punjab PCS 2025 Application Fee

To apply for Punjab State Service Commission recruitment, candidates will have to pay the required examination feed in online mode. Candidates are advised to check the category-wise fee structure to pay with the online application process. You can check the category-wise application fee and examination fee given below-

  • For ex-servicemen, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Lineal Descendants of Ex-Serviceman (LDESM) of Punjab State only-  Online application fees - 500, no examination fees are to be paid and 
  • For Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab State only.- online application fees shall be 500, and examination fees shall be 250 hence total fees will be 750
  • For all other categories- online application fees shall be ₹500, examination fees shall be ₹1000, hence the total fees will be ₹1500
