Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann was seen singing a Punjabi folk song in his car with famous playback singer Sukhwinder Singh showing his appreciation. Earlier, CM Mann was spotted singing during the function organized at the Punjab Raj Bhawan with the famous Punjabi folk song “Challa”. “Kalakaar “han… stage dekh ke rukeya nahin janda,” he said, as he started singing the famous song.
Praising the Chief Minister, Sukhwinder Singh said that the Chief Minister of Punjab is sitting in front of him and he is very down to earth. After which the Chief Minister told that he is going to sing the old song Sone De Kangana, Jitthe Saada Dil Karda, Utthe Maa-Paiyaan Ne Nayi Mangana.
Sukhwinder himself recorded this entire video. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann sang the song after which Sukhwinder once again praised the Chief Minister.
The opposition retorts back:
BJP state president Sunil Jakhar and senior Congress leaders have posted on X slamming the Punjab CM for singing after recent deaths in Sangrur due to alcohol.
Sunil Jakhar, quoting a prominent English proverb in his post, said – When Rome was burning, Nero was playing the flute. Bhagwant Maanji is singing Tappa following the footsteps of Nero, while in his own constituency Sangrur people are dying of illicit liquor. Absolutely true Mann Saheb - A leaderless state is a rudderless boat.
Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa also targeted the Chief Minister over the current law and order situation in Punjab. Congress MLA and opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa said, Bhagwant Shah, it is okay if you sang. Given the current law and order situation in Punjab, no one has confidence in their breathing. As far as Malah (Malhar) is concerned, he has surrendered before BJP.
