Punjab's Weather took a drastic turn on Saturday night as multiple districts of the state witnessed severe thunderstorms. The thunderstorm was so strong that multiple iron poles in residential and commercial areas collapsed. Deaths were also reported in Jalandhar and other districts of Punjab due to strong thunderstorms on Saturday night. In Jalandhar, many areas remained without electricity for many hours. Punjab cities that were impacted the most
- Jalandhar: Several trees were uprooted, and the electricity supply was interrupted in many parts of the city. Commuters faced delays as roads were blocked by fallen branches and debris.
- Amritsar: Strong winds damaged rooftops and temporary structures in open markets. Amritsar airport also witnessed temporary delays in flight operations due to poor visibility.
- Ludhiana: Power cuts and internet outages were reported across residential and industrial zones. Local authorities worked overnight to restore essential services.
