On the second day of the budget session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, there was a lot of uproar over the issue of illegal mining. AAP MLA Aman Arora said that Captain Amarinder Singh himself had admitted that he had the list of those who took sand pits. On this, the members of Congress party objected. Presently, the proceedings of the second day are going on.

Sand currently sells for an average price of Rs 26 to Rs 28 on the market, while gravel costs Rs 29 to Rs 30. This information was provided by Mining Minister Harjot Bains. From 16 March to 22 June 2022, 30 crore 8 lakh income has been generated. He said that three of the seven blocks allocated under the previous government's policy are likewise shuttered. Against illegal miners, 277 cases have been filed. The Mining Minister said that the previous government had said a foot rate of Rs.5 and a half but did not get it.

According to AAP MLA Aman Arora, former CM Captain Amarinder Singh said in front of the House that he had a 10-page list of those who took sand pits. I don't want to take their names. Arora questioned the minister over the availability of such a list. According to Minister Bains, he will discuss it following the budget. In this case, a former MLA has also been the target of action.

CM Bhagwant Mann's address will be on the second day of the budget session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly.  He will reply to the President's address.

Yesterday, the government was badly surrounded by the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. In the assembly, Congress opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa and MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said that Moosewala was not properly secured despite threats. It was also made public after that.
