As a result, Punjab Weather took a U-turn and temperature dropped in the state sharply. Did Punjab witness snowfall on February 20?
The answer is no. Punjab witnessed a heavy hailstorm, especially in Jalandhar. True Scoop shared a live video of Jalandhar hailstorm on Instagram. As per Apple Weather App, Jalandhar on Thursday (at 5: 16 pm) registered the lowest temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was 17 degrees Celsius. The App further predicted that the temperature in Jalandhar will dip more on February 21 i.e. on Friday. On February 21, the app predicted that Jalandhar may register the lowest temperature of 10 degrees Celsius.
It is pertinent to mention here that the latest rainfall and hailstorm in Punjab may be concerning for farmers. The crops may get damaged due to hailstorms and rain in Punjab, especially wheat and mustard crops. At this time, the wheat crop has already got grains, while mustard is also close to ripening.
